bite!
As you moan you'll hear my laughter.
You grow old, I grow young faster.
I don't think that this makes too much sense.

Love songs in the big whiskey

I love love songs.

Love songs that are, well... lovely.
Love songs that seems too wrong to be a love song.
Love songs that gives you an embarrassing grin.
Love songs that written for your love and only her.
Thanks for sharing your love songs Dave Matthews.

I can't stop thinking about you
yeah yeah yeah
why would i want to
I like coffee with toast and jelly
But i'd rather be licking from your back to your belly
I think I'm going to

Do you know what it is to feel the light of love inside you?
And all the darkness falls away
If you feel the way I feel then believe we have the answer
I've been searching for tonight
Love me baby love me baby shake me like a monkey
forever i'm yours

- Shake Me Like A Monkey

Mama told me boy
Someday that girls gonna steal your mind
And then you’ll know
I never knew what I do now
I never knew what I do now
I love you, love you, love you, love you
You, you, you, you, you, you, you

Sour as my fingers
Dirty pick pocket
I can still taste you
I won’t wash my hands
Red is the color
Of the sun with my eyes closed
I can still taste you
And I will again

Woman please I be your possession
You are my obsession
Let me go down
Down, down, down, down, down, down, down

Down little place it digs to go
Down little place it digs to go
Down little place it digs to go
Down little place it digs to go

- Seven

And how about a love song for the daughter.

Remember how I feel in those days of the summertime
Then Stella smiled
Stella said daddy when you gonna put me in a song?

- Alligator Pie

Can't wait to get my hands on their new album Big Whiskey And The GrooGrux King.

Indulgence or addiction

Writing again feels a bit strange and out of place, in my own blog space. It shouldn't feel this awkward. Something worth a bit of pondering. Some inspiration is needed.

Maybe I just need more coffee. Freshly brewed coffee. Freshly brewed coffee pulled at home on a weekend morning.
Freshly brewed coffee pulled at home on a weekend morning with freshly grind beans.

That's what I need. Oh yeah. An awesome coffee grinder.

And without looking to hard, a great bargain come by just when I was hunting for one.
My new addition to my domestic caffeine production line, Sunbeam Conical Burr Coffee Grinder. $160 from The Good Guys.

The lovely pair, side by side. How could I have waited for so long. Silly me.

My domestic caffeine production line.

Freshly roasted beans from Maling room.

The result, no turning back. No more stale coffee. Ever!
If you own a coffee machine and not a grinder, I strongly recommend to get one immediately.

Coffee for Connoisseurs helped me a lot with choosing the right grinder.

The Star - Fail

Surely whoever that decided to put this up have to know what is Earth hour about before telling everyone to bugger off.

This is just dumb and rude.

Sometimes you just have to accept the stupidity and ignorance that comes along.

For the uninformed, Earth hour is about switching off our lights to raise awareness of global warming. Off to vote for Earth, on to vote for global warming.

Perth in a day

A stroll around the city of Perth before I leave.

Hay street mall.

London Court arcade.

Down under, upside down, a penny for me to get me back up right.

Swan River, front of Bell Tower.

Bell Tower.

Cooling my feet in a hot hot summer day in Perth.

And I left the city where I spent my weekend the way I like it,
Wake up with you by my side.

Tonight: Spiritualized

08.01.09 The HiFi Bar

Simeon Coxe of Silver Apples

Silver Apples is the opening act. Don't know too much about the band except Simeon Coxe is touring solo and his band was formed in the 1960s (!!)
According to wiki they were one of the first groups to employ electronic music techniques extensively within a rock idiom.
Whatever that means, I'm pretty impressed to see a grandpa-grade touring artist...

Spiritualized walked on stage and started playing right away. No words, no wasting time, straight to the music. Soul of Fire. It was good. I miss their sound!

Jason 'Spaceman' Pierce

19 years strong, 6 albums. Too little, too precious.
The latest album is the work of The Devil... with a little guidance from me, says Jason Pierce.

Kevin Bales on the drum

A good experience watching them live for the first time. The first half is consist of some slower love and religious songs. It did took awhile to build up for the second half of the more, I think I can only refer their style as the spiritualized sounds. Layered, lavish sound of electronic mix of rock and gospel... The song title 'Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating In Space' tells a lot about what they are about. Anyway it was a good gig that ended a tad too late for me on a Thursday night.

Ladies and gentlemen, check it out.
